  • Alternative sizes to these listed can be designed in cases where space is restricted or a larger load carrying capacity is required.
  • For the standard bearings listed in these tables, the first letters of the product reference number represent the type of bearing (eg SKS).
  • The first digit signifies the number of bearing units per metre.
  • The second pair of digits (divided by a slash) identifies the plan size of the top (5mm) pad. For standard movements of +/- 10mm, the lower (2mm) pad is always 25mm larger in plan. So if the top pad is 75/100, the bottom pad is 100/125. In cases where larger movements are required, the lower pad is enlarged to accommodate these. To specify an allowance for larger movement, insert the larger dimensions of the 2 mm pad in the code. Hence SKS-3-75/100-LxW would be intended for standard movements whereas SKS-3-75/100(120/125)-LxW would be designed for larger movements (+/- 20mm) in one direction. the expanded polystyrene filler can be made to suit the support size. The dimensions for this are given in place of the letters 'L' and 'W'.
  • Alternative sizes to these listed can be designed in cases where space is restricted or a larger load carrying capacity is required.
  • Where the performance of the SKS range is insufficient, we recommend that the heavy duty SKU/R bearing is considered.
